
2026 March- ESIX Leaders-Only
Our ESIX: Executive Search Information Exchange Leaders-Only sessions last week touched on a number of topics. We revisited the question of using external assessment tools for leadership hiring, and what people were using now. Interestingly, our ESIX Annual Benchmark Survey, which has been studying the corporate executive recruiting function for around 25+ years, told us that the use of external assessment tools had risen from 42% of respondents in 2015 to 64% of respondents in 2022. However, we started to see a dropoff in usage over the following three years and heard from some members they were losing trust in these tools. Then suddenly we saw a jump in usage last year, and wonder if this is a response to questions around fraud in the recruiting marketplace. We shall see what happens in this year's Benchmark Survey.
In our Leaders-Only session we also talked about an increase in hiring demand, an increase in the number of internal recruiting roles posted on our own job page, as well how to work with current immigration issues, and ideas for creating an effective RFP for a new CRM tool. Never a dull moment for our members!
