2026 June- IX Communities Open Access
Wow! Our latest IX Communities Open Access online event was effectively standing room only. Huge shout out to Jimmy Gould, Head of Executive Recruiting at Anthropic, for an outstanding presentation on the Anthropic TA team's AI experiments — their early successes and what they're still figuring out.
Jimmy started with their north star: give back time, don't automate judgment. The design principle that followed: let AI handle the connective tissue while humans keep the judgment. With those principles in hand, they gave recruiters AI tools and invited them to build what they needed, with guardrails for regulatory and policy compliance. Two lessons stood out. First, bottom-up beats top-down - one recruiter became a force multiplier, building tools, recording demos, and teaching others. Second, starting with process pain rather than open-ended possibilities was the catalyst for fast adoption.
The results speak for themselves: work that used to take the team three days is now completed in a few hours. Less administrative work means recruiters can focus on building relationships with candidates and acting as more strategic business partners.
Jimmy also spoke to the change happening beyond the tools. How we assess talent has to evolve, with creativity and judgment becoming more important than ever. And he was candid that change management is the hardest part, with recruiters spanning a spectrum from AI laggards to overly aggressive adopters. We can attest to that as change management continues to be a recurring topic in our IX Communities discussions.
See Jimmy share the tools his team created in the video below.
Thank you again, Jimmy, for sharing your experiences, insights, and advice!
