Our TLIX: Talent Leader Information Exchange members focused on Tech Talent Recruiting during this month’s Deep Dive. We started with a market scan where members confirmed that most have been slowing down their tech hiring, following aggressive hiring three years ago – for some, this drop is driven by U.S. tariffs. And though market data shows university/early career hiring dropped significantly in 2024, our members are generally holding steady with their college grad programs. One mentioned the importance of hiring the “native AI speakers” of this generation who have grown up with a tech-enabled life. To attract tech talent, many are emphasizing the opportunity to work with AI as most candidates are seeking this experience. And companies who have shifted back to full or partial onsite work requirements have increased their time to fill roles and the need to bolster recruiter sourcing skills. We wrapped with a discussion about talent attraction, how AI is improving candidate outreach response rates if executed well, and the upcoming LinkedIn hiring assistant technology. One of our members is a beta tester for this future LinkedIn license add-on and has seen a 144% response rate improvement with the new program during their limited trial.
