2025 October- TLIX Deep Dive
The recent TLIX: Talent Leader Information Exchange Deep Dive focused on a variety of important talent pools. First were military candidates, who will be a growing U.S. talent pool based on recent enlistment increases. Helping companies and candidates translate valuable military experiences into civilian roles is key. Participants shared several helpful tools used for this purpose. We also discussed relevant employment brand and outreach best practices, and challenges related to veteran self-identification and CRM accuracy issues. Next, we discussed attracting LGBTQ+ talent and how having visible role-models is a key indicator of an inclusive and supportive culture. Participants pointed out that this talent is often well connected and that company and recruiting efforts here also attract (or deter) candidates who are allies, friends, or family. Lastly, we discussed talent with disabilities and neurodivergence. Data predicts a growing interest in actively recruiting neurodivergent talent in the coming years based on unique strengths including innovation, problem-solving, and diversity of thought. Increased neurodivergent-friendly job description language and proactive disability accommodation mentions are growing but need to increase – as well as more inclusive interview formats. We also discussed how the current return-to-office trend typically adversely affects employees with disabilities and candidate attraction - this should be actively monitored.
