2026 June -ESIX Leaders-Only

Published on July 9, 2026

Many corporate executive recruiting teams are busy - busier than last year, and busier than expected. Perhaps this is a good sign, as these newly hired leaders often start a cascade of hiring lower down the organization once they start and want to 'put their stamp' on an organization.

In last week's ESIX: Executive Search Information Exchange Leaders-Only session the conversation went in all sorts of directions - which is the point, as leaders bring their questions and challenges to discuss with the group. We discussed how busy in-house teams were; plus, one leader shared how their team is creating AI market mapping agents to allow recruiters to focus more on relationship building. That conversation morphed into the challenges of dealing with corporate technology (esp. ATS') when executing confidential searches, and members shared a couple of workarounds.

After this, leaders shared experiences on leadership assessment tools, along with varying levels of satisfaction and skepticism. We then covered the challenges of setting recruiter performance metrics given that different business areas require varying approaches considering the complexity of certain roles.

So many things for leaders to think about, as always!
