
2025 Feb- TLIX Leaders-Only Connect
Our TLIX TA leaders recently kicked off the new year discussing how candidates, recruiters and hiring managers are using AI during the interview process. We heard examples of each using AI to record interviews, assist with notetaking/conversation summaries, and answering interview questions – as well as the technology that TA teams are using to leverage AI to improve their processes and identify when candidates are using it. As always, anecdotes were fascinating. One recruiter typed their interview question into ChatGPT and read along while the candidate responded using the exact same response. Another members’ pilot has thus far yielded 0 of 25 candidates opting out of having their interview recorded for AI analysis. A key takeaway worth sharing – allowing candidates to use AI may be seen as supporting their use of modern technology, but candidates’ access to AI may also advantage those with economic privilege. We followed this with timely discussion about member companies’ current policies, practices, and communications regarding DEI given recent U.S. presidential executive orders. We closed with a discussion regarding TA tech recommendations for data intelligence and automation.
